Middlebury Hoping For Storm-Related Funds: Report

MIDDLEBURY, CT — The severe storm in May that led to a tornado in Southbury and Oxford also ended up doing a lot of damage in Middlebury as well. Local officials met with FEMA reps recently and are hoping to receive some federal funds to help cover some of the costs, the Republican-American reports.

Officials are estimating cleanup costs at around $91,000. Town officials hope to secure 75 percent of their out-of-pocket expenses.
