Middlebury Police Blotter: From Coyotes to Callers
The Middlebury Police Department reported the following incidences from Wednesday. Sept. 14, to Thursday, Sept. 22.

Concerned about Coyotes
A resident on Crest Road contacted the police department about a young coyote around the house, on Wednesday, Sept. 14. The police department referred the caller to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's fact sheet on coyotes.
Door-to-Door Visitor Prompts Call

On Friday, Sept. 16, a Ravenwood Drive resident called the department after a male party came to the door and said they were doing an energy audit.
The caller reported that the visitor had no identification and no placards on the vehicle.

Officer Todd Adams informed Robert Wagner, 46, of 170 Reservoir Rd., Ludlow, Mass., and Sean Fitzgerald, no age or address given, of Springfield, Mass., that they need permits to go door-to-door and they would have to leave.
Attempted Break-In
An Acme Drive resident reported someone attempting to break into their home on Friday, Sept. 16.
Thomas Walzer, 23, of 46 Ash Swamp Rd., was arrested for disorderly conduct.
Officer Todd Adams investigated.
Yellow Lab Roaming
A yellow lab with a black collar was found roaming near the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, Sept. 18.
Dirt Bikes on the Larkin Trail
On Thursday, Sept. 22, police received a phone call regarding dirt bikes on the Larkin Trail.
