Middlebury Police Blotter: Hit and Run, Attempted Break-In
Reports of a hit and run, an attempted break-in and a coyote sighting highlight the Middlebury Police Blotter.

A Middlebury man told police that his car was hit by an erratic driver who sped off after the incident.
James Christiano, of 72 Nick Road in Middlebury, reported the incident to Middlebury PD on Wednesday at approximately 3:57 p.m.
The car was reported driving approximately 1/8 of a mile west of Memorial Drive. The driver was described as a white male in a late 90’s cream colored Dodge pickup truck.
The vehicle was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and was traveling on the wrong side of the road when it hit the door of Christiano’s car.
After the incident the driver continued down Memorial Drive, police obtained no further information.

Eric Jones, of Avalon Drive in Middlebury, alerted Middlebury PD that an attempt was made to break into site trailers at Avalon Farms. The report was filed Wednesday at approximately 10:12 a.m.
Police reports say it appears someone tried to cut the lock brackets on the trailers to gain entry.

Heidi Wallace, of 65 White Ave. in Middlebury, reported seeing a coyote in the area of her residence on Thursday at approximately 7:56 a.m.
