Middlebury Police Blotter: Mountain Lion Sighting, Suspicious Activity

Middlebury man says a six-foot long creature appeared in yard.

Charlotte Walters, of 1 Winding Trail in Middlebury, reported youths at the pool in her complex on Sunday at approximately 9:19 p.m. Walters told police the youths gained entrance to the pool by entering behind the clubhouse.

Mike Stancek, of 51 Lockwood Road in Middlebury, reported a large animal, possibly a mountain lion, nearly six feet long with brownish color on his property Friday at approximately 7:36 p.m.

Stancek said the animal came out of the woods about ten feet, bared his teeth at him and his dog and then leaped back in the woods and left the area.

Jillian Gehlkens, of 807 Longmeadow Road in Middlebury, reported to Middlebury police Tuesday morning that the gate to the front of her residence was open and several screens on her first floor windows were pushed up.

Musteba Ramadani, of 3 Foster Street in Middlebury reported a window broken on his house Sunday at approximately 1:08 p.m.
