Middlebury Police Blotter: Multiple Reports of Harassment, Failure to Appear

Several Middlebury residents reported harassing phone calls or messages to Middlebury PD

Patricia Laukaitis of 152 Porter Ave. in Middlebury reported receiving harassing phone calls from her son on Thursday April 14. According to reports Laukaitis said she received 14 harassing calls. Middlebury PD was dispatched to the residence on Wolcott Street to speak with Laukaitis’ son.

An arrest warrant was issued for Middlebury resident James Young, according to Middlebury PD. Young, 39, was issued the arrest warrant on Tuesday for failure to appear in court.

Kerry Flaherty of 112 Bayberry Terrace in Middlebury told Middlebury PD he was reportedly receiving numerous harassing phone calls and text messages on his cell phone.  Police have since advised the harassing party to end all calls to Flaherty.

Joseph Ventura of 1765 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury reported that he has received a threat of physical harm to one of his employees via email from a resident in Middletown, CT. Ventura originally contacted authorities in Middletown, but was told to direct his complaint to Middlebury PD.
