Middlebury Police Blotter: Stolen Items, Trespassing

Reported thefts fill the Middlebury police blotter.

A table and set of chairs were reported stolen to the Middlebury Police Department from Leo’s Restaurant, 900 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury, on Saturday May 7 at approximately 8:51 a.m.

Clarence Thompson, of 225 Porter Ave. in Middlebury, reported items including jewelry and cash missing from his parent’s residence on Thursday May 5.

Middlebury Police were alerted by a passerby traveling northbound on Rt. 63 that parties were soliciting and selling video and television equipment out of a 2004 Chevy Express at approximately 11:36 a.m. on Friday May 6.

Non-residents of Steeplechase in Middlebury were seen fishing in Steeplechase Pond on Friday. They were told to leave by the board of directors, but refused to leave until Middlebury PD arrived on scene and escorted them off the premises.
