Middlebury Police Blotter: Suspicious Activity, Larceny

Reports of trespassers, stolen computers and stolen beer highlight the police report for Middlebury

A Middlebury resident reported a suspicious party outside of their home Monday.

Darren Wittko, of 1 Yale Avenue in Middlebury said when he returned home to his residence at approximately 4:58 p.m. on Monday he witnessed a man on the side of his house. Police reports say the trespasser was a white male, balding, with a mustache wearing a beige jacket.

The party left quickly after Wittko arrived, fleeing in a blue Chevy pickup with Connecticut plates, a ladder rack and a latter. The party was last seen on Forester Rd. heading towards the light at Rt. 64.

A computer was reported missing from the Park and Recreation Office in the Shepardson Building, located at 1172 Whittemore Rd, Middlebury on Friday March 18 at approximately 9:30 a.m. Middlebury Police are investigating what they have classified a larceny.

Two males stole two cases of beer on Saturday at a store located on Middlebury Road in Middlebury. The two males were seen running out of a liquor store and into an aqua colored Grand Prix. No plates were obtained.
