As the night progressed, the female passenger began to develop sugar-related issues. The woman was transported to Waterbury Hospital by a Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department ambulance.
Police said it took about two hours to get to them and remove them from the stuck vehicle about one mile into the woods, because the dirt road had to be plowed and several down trees needed to be cut away, police said.
