Middlebury police, in cooperation with Naugatuck police, the Connecticut Department of Parole and the Connecticut Department of Probation, conducted several home visits Thursday and Friday resulting in five arrests.
“An operation similar to the one in Waterbury several weeks ago has now extended into the Suburbs,” Acting Middlebury Police Chief Richard Wildman said. “Subjects were visited to make sure they were in compliance with court orders, others were visited to make sure they were meeting probation requirements and more importantly living where they were reporting.”
Wildman said these operations are intended to make the community safer and “remind people on probation they must follow the rules.”
