Middlebury Police Investigate Car Break-In

Police offer a warning after an incident along the greenway.

Police were called to Steinmann Avenue today at about 4:30 pm to investigate a broken window on a vehicle.

The window was broken on a passenger vehicle which was parked in the pull off near the bridge on the greenway.

The female victim went for a walk and secured her belongings in the vehicle. Unknown perpetrator(s) probably watched her leave and came back knowing that valuables were in the vehicle. Cash, personal information, and credit cards were taken.
