Middlebury School Subject Of Sex Abuse Suit: Report
A former student is suing a school over allegations that the school failed to report sexual abuse.
MIDDLEBURY, CT — The Westover School of Middlebury is facing a federal lawsuit that claims the school was negligent in allowing a former faculty member to sexually abuse a former student, The Hartford Courant reported. The suit, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges that the private boarding school for girls failed to report the abuse by a teacher and squash coach to authorities.
The suit has been filed by a woman who attended the school from 2003 to 2007. She claims the abuse occurred when she was 15.
