Middlebury Seeking New Fire Engine: Report
Officials say the current Engine 4 has been in service for three decades and repairs are costly.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — Middlebury's volunteer fire department is planning to purchase a used fire engine which could cost about $300,000 because Engine 4 has been in service for three decades and it's becoming costly to repair, the Republican-American reports.
Officials say a good used apparatus is much less expensive than allocating $700,000 for a new engine.
