Middlebury Tanning Salon Burglarized

Burglaries continue to stack up in Middlebury with the latest break-in reported to Middlebury PD this morning.

According to Lt. Richard A. Wildman, Middlebury Police are investigating an overnight burglary which occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning at the Sunset Beach Tanning Salon located at 750 Straits Turnpike in Middlebury.

Perpetrator(s) smashed out the front window with a rock and stole a cash register. The exact amount of cash is not known at this time, says Wildman.

This break-in comes on the heals of a reported residential burglary that occurred Tuesday afternoon, May 3, on Vidich Lane in Middlebury.

Similarly, a window was smashed out and entry was gained. Items taken from the residence included a laptop computer, assorted coins, video game units, and personal items like passports and birth certificates, says Wildman.

Anyone with information is urged to call Middlebury Police at 203-577-4028. Just as important, says Wildman, anyone seeing suspicious vehicles or person(s) in their neighborhoods are also asked to call Middlebury Police.
