In the 71st state house district, the winner is Republican Anthony D’Amelio with 3,514 votes over Independent party candidate Raymond Rivard’s 664 votes. In Middlebury, D’Amelio received 2,159 votes while Rivard received 443 votes.
For the 15th Senatorial District, the winner is Democrat Joan Hartley with 11,297 votes compared to Republican Karl Shehu’s 4,946 votes, the Connecticut Post reports. In Middlebury, Hartley received 532 votes while Shehu received 586 votes.

For the 32nd Senatorial District, the winner is Republican Robert Kane over Democrat Donato Orsini, the Connecticut Mirror reports. In Middlebury, Kane received 1319 votes while Orsini received 555 votes.
In the race for the judge of the probate the winner is Peter Mariano.
