Multi-Million Dollar Judgement In Glaucoma Case Of Woodbury Woman: Report

The victim suffered partial blindness, according to her attorneys.

WOODBURY, CT — Woodbury resident Corrine Mirabilio was recently awarded $2.2 million by a jury who found that an eye clinic should have diagnosed her glaucoma earlier, reports the Connecticut Law Tribune.

According to her attorneys from the firm Moore, O'Brien & Foti, Mirabilio suffered partial blindness as a result of the late diagnosis by Waterbury-based Opticare Eye Health Centers Inc. The company can appeal the verdict.

The company was found to have failed to perform certain tests on multiple occasions that would have discovered the glaucoma, the publication writes.
