New Details On Double-Fatal Woodbury Accident From 2017: Report
A local restaurant has been sued by one of the estate's.

WOODBURY, CT — The Market Place Kitchen & Bar did not violate state liquor laws prior to a double-fatal accident that occurred in May 2017, the Republican-American reports. State officials said the eatery didn't knowingly serve an intoxicated person, the Rep-Am reports.
Katherine Berman, of Cheshire and Edward Bertulis of Waterbury were killed in the crash. Officials have said Berman was legally intoxicated at the time of the crash and have said she caused the double-fatal crash.
Bertulis' estate has sued the restaurant. That lawsuit is still pending. Berman's blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit at the time of the crash and her car was speeding, investigators have stated in a report.
