New Lottery Winner Now Able to Retire

He and his wife just celebrated 45 years of marriage together.

WATERBURY, CT — Two weeks ago, Frank and Margaret Vaccarelli of Waterbury celebrated their 45th anniversary; now they have even more reason to celebrate with a $500,000 “Gold Premium Play” win.

“It’s amazing, I can’t believe it! [Gold Premium Play] is the only scratch game we play! I always said, ‘Maybe one day we’ll hit it,’” said Frank Vaccarelli. Frank Vaccarelli has been the Head Custodian at a local elementary school for eleven years and has loved every moment of his job.

However, Vaccarelli is very much looking forward to having more free time with his wife. “Now I can retire in July,” the lucky winner said with a smile. “We’ll go on a couple vacations—maybe we’ll go to Disney and pay some bills,” Frank Vaccarelli said. After receiving their check, the lucky couple hugged and took a second to embrace. “I’m just so happy for my family!” Vaccarelli said before kissing his wife.
