New Morning's Earth Day Event Taking Place in April

Editor’s Note: Woodbury’s Earth Day is taking a gap year and will return in 2016. New Morning’s Earth Day is a separate event and is still taking place this year.

Earth Day at New Morning Market will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at 129 Main St. North, Woodbury.

New Morning’s 21st Annual Earth Day Celebration will feature local and artisanal food samples from Little Farm on Main, Arethusa Farm, Fruple Ice, Raw Food Central and Global Village!

Try regional baked goods from Daily Fare and Mom’s plus delicious and Fair Trade beverages from Coffee, Tea Etc. and TIPU Chai, just to name a few. Meet local farmers from Sepe Farm, Laurel Ridge and Walden Hill and sample their humanely raised lamb, beef and pork.

Holistic practitioners will be on hand to answer your questions in the Vitality Center on the second floor of New Morning. If supplements are your thing, experts from Garden of Life, Nature’s Plus, Nutraceutical and New Chapter will be available for questions.

Skincare aficionados from Valentina’s and Kensington Apothecary will also be here with skin care samples. Face Painting by Purple Moon Arts and Hands on Science projects with Velya Jancz-Urban are available for the young at heart to enjoy.

During the month of April, every $10 in store purchases gets you a raffle ticket. Bring them with you on Earth Day to enter to win cool prizes. On April 25, guests may fill out an entry form to win the grand prize of $500 in groceries. No purchase is necessary.
