No Deal Yet on Southbury and Middlebury Sharing Asphalt Paver and Roller Equipment

Middlebury has approved the agreement but Southbury postponed a vote and a deadline of Feb. 1 is fast-approaching.

The Southbury Board of Selectmen decided against proceeding with a vote last week that could have led to Southbury and Middlebury sharing an asphalt paver and roller costing $197,000.

The Southbury selectmen said they didn’t have all of the information they needed to vote, the Republican-American reports.

According to the proposal, the state would pay for a bulk of the costs, leaving Southbury and Middlebury to each pay $39,400.
