Obituary: Anne C. D'Ambrisi, 99, of Waterbury

Anne C. D'Ambrisi, mother of Woodbury resident Janice Kolesnik, worked as an executive secretary at the Howland Hughes Department Store for years.

 

Anne C. (Brangel) D’Ambrisi, 99, of Waterbury, died at her daughter's Woodbury home on Monday, February 06, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Michael M. D’Ambrisi.

D’Ambrisi was born in Waterbury on July 28, 1912, daughter of the late Charles and Claire (Filippone) Brangel. She worked as an executive secretary at the Howland Hughes Department Store for years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Waterbury.

D’Ambrisi was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who constantly cared for the needs of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by a son, Paul D’Ambrisi and his wife Virginia of Alpharette, Ga.; a daughter, Janice Kolesnik and her husband Robert of Woodbury; a sister, Lee Cronan of Wolcott; six grandchildren, Robert Kolesnik Jr., Lara Kolesnik, Tanya Kolesnik, Cherie Kolesnik, Matthew D’Ambrisi and Peter D’Ambrisi; and two great grandchildren, Isabella and Lindsay.

Calling Hours: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home

Funeral: 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11. Leaving from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a  10 a.m. mass.
