Obituary: Barry Maxwell, 75, Formerly of Woodbury

Barry Maxwell, 75, passed away on Saturday, June 23rd at Waterbury Hospital. Barry was born on April 25, 1943 in Rochester, NY, to the late Charles Warren Maxwell and Frances Maxwell Koch. The family moved to Waterbury CT in 1947 then to Woodbury in 1951.

He Graduated from Woodbury High School Class of 1961 then attended Waterbury UCONN before enlisting in the Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Missouri, Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Vietnam, then Andrews AFB in Washington. After the Air Force, he returned to Woodbury and began working for The Woodbury Telephone Company in 1969 where he remained until his retirement (from AT&T) in 2006.
Barry was an avid Amateur Radio Operator, receiving his General License under the call letters K1RMB

He married Suellen (Curtiss) Maxwell in 1968. They remained married for 49 years until her passing earlier this year. He leaves behind his son, Scott Maxwell and his wife, Hillary of Sierra Madre CA along with his brother, Phil Maxwell and his wife Barbara of Dover NH.

There will be a service celebrating his life on Friday, June 29th at 11am at North Congregational Church in Woodbury.
