Obituary: Burroughs “Buck” H. Prince Jr., of Middlebury
In 1997 Buck and Mary moved to Middlebury CT to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed ballroom dancing.

Burroughs “Buck” H. Prince Jr.
Buck passed peacefully at the age of 86 on Friday February 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Vitas Hospice in Waterbury after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s. Buck was born October 27, 1931 in Loris, SC.
He was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a degree in architecture, and a master’s in business administration from Adelphi University. He spent most of his working career as a store planner for JC Penney’s in New York City and Dallas until his retirement in 1992. In 1997 Buck and Mary moved to Middlebury CT to be closer to their children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed ballroom dancing, working with wood and playing his guitar.

He is survived by his devoted wife and dance partner Mary; daughter Barbara Prince (Peter Murdza), and grandchildren Katy, Julia, James, Robbie; son Christopher Prince (Mary), grandchild Antigone and great grandson Ezra; step children Susan Seeger (Paul) and their children Christopher, Jonathan (Samantha), Kimberly and Maribeth; Shirley Waldron (Michael) and their children Jessica, Jillian and Jennifer; George Jones; Carolyn Rogers (Paul) and their children Connor, Ian, and Olivia; Niece Ruth and nephew Robert.
He was without doubt a true gentleman and an extraordinary man with a beautiful caring heart.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Buck’s name can be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Reasearch.

The family would like to thank his dedicated home caregiver Jackie and the staff of Vitas Hospice for their loving compassionate care. He will be greatly missed.
