Obituary: David James Metcalf, 21, of Woodbury

The following obituary was provided by Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home in Woodbury.

David James Metcalf, 21, of Weekeepeemee Road, Woodbury, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013,  due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. He was born on September 14, 1991.

David was a graduate of Nonnewaug High School in 2009. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys and working with anything mechanical. He is survived by his parents; his mom Debbie Lindberg and her husband John of Woodbury and his father Dave Metcalf and his fiancée June Bassett of Oakville; his two brothers, Tyler Lindberg, Ed Gilbert Jr. and his fiancée Kristen DeSantis and his only nephew, Mason Michael Gilbert, all of Woodbury. David is also survived by an extended family of 10 aunts and uncles. David was also a proud member of the Cole Family of Woodbury.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Regional School District #14-FFA, in care of the Business Office, P.O. Box 469, Woodbury, 06798.

Visitation: There are no calling hours.

Services: Graveside services will take place at noon Saturday, June 15, at the New North Cemetery in Woodbury.
