Obituary: Donald E. Peterson, 81, of Woodbury
Donald E. Peterson served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed skiing and driving his John Deere tractor.

Donald E. Peterson of Woodbury died on January 31, 2012, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
He was born on January 28, 1931 in The Bronx, N.Y.. He enjoyed skiing at Mt. Snow almost every winter weekend, driving his John Deere tractor, swimming in his pool and spending time with his family.
Peterson lived in South Salem, N.Y. for 38 years. He earned a B.S. degree from New York University. He was a member of the Manhattan Chapter Order of the DeMolay, served in the United States Air Force and coached his son’s little league teams.

Peterson was captain of the Valhalla Ambulance Corp, a bus driver for the Thornwood Lancers Marching Band, was the timer and announcer for the Lewisboro Swim Team and a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.
After working for many years in food industry sales, he worked side by side with his wife, Anne, at World Innovators, Inc., for the last 30 years.
Peterson leaves his wife of 58 years, Anne (Jackson) Peterson, two sons: Barry, his wife Lori, and grandchildren Kelsey and Carter; and Roy, his wife Gabrielle and grandchildren Nicolle, Brianna and Colin.

He leaves his daughter Donna and her husband Greg Pesce, grandchildren Haley and Jack, brother in-law William Iller, niece Lynda Archer and nephews Erik Iller and William Iller, II and their families.
