Obituary: Giovanni Polletta, 94, of Oakville
Services for Giovanni Polletta will take place on Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14. Polletta was a caretaker for the Goss Estate in Middlebury for approximately eight years.

Giovanni Polletta, 94, of Oakville, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Felicia (Perugini) Polletta.
Polletta was born in Pontelandolfo, Benevento, Italy on January 14, 1918, son of the late Donato and Concetta (Polletta) Polletta. He came to this country in 1966 and was employed at Miller Manufacturing Company for many years, retiring in 1983 from the Wells Tubes Company.
After retiring he became a caretaker for the Goss Estate in Middlebury until 1991. He took pride in his gardening and loved to be with his family and friends. He was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Church.
Besides his wife of 64 years, he leaves two sons, Giuseppe Polletta and his wife Linda of Oakville, Rosario Polletta and his wife Susanna of Watertown, five grandchildren, Diana Dane and her husband Michael, Maria Guerrera and her husband Robert, Tina Polletta and her fiancé Robert Augelli, Rose Polletta and Joseph Polletta all of Watertown, five great grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Juliana, Francesca, and Marcella all of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Antonio Polletta, Giuseppe Polletta and Domenico Polletta and his sisters, Angelamaria Polletta, Brigida Polletta, and Rita Polletta.
The family would like to thank the staff at Watertown Convalarium and the staff at Waterbury Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Polletta during his long illness.

Calling Hours: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 13, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.
Funeral: 8 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home to St. Mary Magdalen Church for a Mass at 9 a.m.
Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
