Obituary: Helen Wardle, 92, of Southbury

Helen was an animal lover and rescuer. She never passed a needy animal without offering it something to eat.

Helen Wardle entered into eternal rest on September 22nd, 2017 at Masonic Care, Newtown, CT. She was born 6/20/1925 in New York City. She lived in Heritage Village for 10 years. Beloved mother of Valorie Correa of Newtown, Ct and Laurel Carra, Heritage Village, Southbury, CT. She was predeceased by her husband James Wardle in 1973, and her son Jim Wardle of Ansonia Ct in July 2017.

Besides her daughters, she leaves her son-in-law Tom Carra of Heritage Village, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Helen was a writer of poetry and many of her poems have been published. She was also an animal lover and rescuer. She never passed a needy animal without offering it something to eat.

There are no calling hours; her family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
