Obituary: Jacqueline Mohan Us, 24, of Easton

Mohan was a mom, artist and a friend to animals. She had family in Middlebury.

 

Jacqueline "Jackie" Mohan Us, 24, of Easton, died on April 7, 2012. She was a loving mother to daughter Jadynn.

Us was born Feb. 18, 1988, and spent her early childhood living in Newtown before moving to Fairfield, where she graduated from Ludlowe High School in 2006.

Her lifelong love for animals led her to train and work as a veterinarian technician. She was quite talented in horseback riding and softball, as well as drawing and sculpturing. Her greatest joy was that of being a mother. She will be dearly missed by her family and close friends.

In addition to her beloved daughter, her memory will be cherished by her family, including her mother, Sharon Sanzari, and her husband, Robert, of Easton; her father, Gregory Us, and his wife, Carla, of Fairfield; brother and sister, Nicholas and Haileigh Sanzari; maternal grandparents, James and Caroline Mohan, Sr., of Easton; parental grandparents, Maximillian Us, and his wife, Carmen, of Huntington; Anne Ranaldo, and her husband Robert, of Middlebury; Jackie's aunts and uncles: Cathleen and Wesley Clark, James Mohan, Jr., Laurie and James Haskins, Michelle Us; first cousins, Jenny Lee and Joseph Haskins, Leila Us, Bridget, Jon, and Corissa Clark; her former husband, Bruce Bastien, Jr.; and the many additional members of the Mohan, Us and Bastien families.

Memorial Mass to celebrate her life: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Notre Dame of Easton Church, 655 Morehouse Rd., in Easton. All other services will be private.

Contributions in her memory can be directed to an education fund to be established for her daughter in care of: The Mohan Family, 20 Hickory Knoll Drive, Easton, CT 06612.
