Obituary: Leona Nodine, 92, of Waterbury
Leona Nodine was an avid reader, was an assembler and inspector at TImex Corp. and a longtime volunteer at Waterbury Hospital.

Leona (Steponaitis) Nodine, 92, of Waterbury, died on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital.
Nodine was born in Waterbury on July, 21 1919, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Crouch) Steponaitis. She was an assembler and inspector at in Middlebury for many years and a longtime volunteer at Waterbury Hospital.

Nodine was an avid reader who always rated her favorite books as superb and loved UCONN basketball. She was especially proud of her family.
She leaves two daughters, Mary Lee Grante and her husband Rick of Waterbury; Georgette Arnauckas and her husband Jim of Waterbury; a sister Dorothy Romanuk of Prospect; four grandchildren: Dr. Karen Bonnanzio and her husband Anthony of Middlebury, Kristine Noli and her husband David of Southington, JoAnne Cipriano of Prospect, Jason Arnauckas and his wife Bethany of Southbury, and eight great grandchildren: Olivia and Rachel Bonnanzio, Jillian and Jack Noli, Elena and Emily Cipriano; Abigail and Justin Arnauckas, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers: Edward, Frank, George and Raymond Steponaitis.
Calling Hours: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday Jan. 16, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, then people will continue to church for mass.
Mass: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Burial: Following mass at New St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Nodine's memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis TN, 38148, or a charity of one's choice.
