Obituary: LeRoy T. Huckin, 85, of Woodbury
LeRoy Huckin was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and worked for General Electric as an engineer for 34 years in New York City.

LeRoy T. Huckin, 85, of Woodbury, died peacefully and surrounded by his family on Thursday December 1, 2011. He was the husband of Elise Dorothea (McQuillin) Huckin.
Huckin was born June 8, 1926 in Englewood, N.J., son of the late Judge LeRoy B. and Hazel A. Huckin.
Huckin was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and worked for General Electric as an engineer for 34 years in New York City. He enjoyed his retirement in Connecticut, was an avid bowler and cherished his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he leaves his children: Nancy L. Snow and her husband Richard McKenzie of Oxford; John and Karen Huckin of West Granby; and James and Linda Huckin of Concord, NC; nine grandchildren: Aaron Snow, Sarah Eyre, Timothy Snow, Rebecca Snow, Daniel Huckin, Elaina Kuljis, Arianne Huckin, Katie Huckin and Emily Huckin; and also five great grandchildren and a sister in-law, Gloria Huckin. He was predeceased by a brother, John B. Huckin.
The family extended its thanks to the Visiting Nurse Services of Oxford and those nursing aides who were in attendance, for their loving care given in this time of need.
Services: A memorial service will take place in April 2012.
