Loren Butler, 84, died on January 14, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Southbury. He was born February 9, 1934 and was an essential kitchen worker at the Curtis House in Woodbury, CT. from 1966 until he retired in 1987.
He maintained an active lifestyle during his retirement, spending time at the Woodbury Senior Center, being an active member at the Christ the Redeemer Church in Southbury, and enjoying exercise, bingo, trips, and musical events at Active Day in Middlebury.

He was proud of living on his own at Parley Manor. Loren leaves behind dear friends he made throughout his lifetime, especially Wayne, Mark, Maureen, and TJ Brennan. Donations in Loren’s name can be sent to the Christ the Redeemer Church Music Ministry at 114 Roxbury Rd, Southbury, CT 06488.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, at 10:00 am at Christ the Redeemer Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Carpino Funeral Home of Southbury.
