Mary Patricia Hogan Kemp (Mae) aged 101 of Woodbury Ct. (formerly of Buffalo, NY) died peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital April 14th 2017. Widow of Frank W. Kemp, Mae was born in Caherciveen, Co. Kerry Ireland on Feb 17, 1916. Daughter of Mary Ellen McNamara and John J. Hogan, Mae was the oldest of seven. She worked as a secretary in London during WW2, where she met her husband of 55 years.

An avid reader, Mae loved spending summers at her cottage in Canada surrounded by family and friends. Mae was known for her love of life, easy laugh and feistiness.

Mae is survived by son Gregory Kemp(Ada), Charmaine Bundrock(James), Valerie Calabrese(Gary), and Jeffrey Kemp(Jamie). She was a devoted and loving grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of one.

A memorial service will be set by the family at a later date in Woodbury CT. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the VNA Northwest, 607 Bantam Rd. Bantam, CT 06750.
