
Patricia Dunn Bowen, 83, of Heritage Village in Southbury, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the River Glen Health Center in Southbury.
Bowen was the widow of Edmond C. Bowen. She was born March 9, 1928, in Syracuse, N.Y., daughter of the late Herbert A. and Georgia E. Bresse Dunn.
She graduated from the Goodyear-Burlingame School in Syracuse and Endicott College in Beverly, Mass.

Bowen was a talented award-winning equestrian and a sculptor of equestrian art in bronze. She was a former member of the Waterbury Junior League of Women, a former member of the Middlebury Congregational Church and a former board member of the Waterbury Child Guidance Center.
She also volunteered with the Well Child Clinic with the Waterbury Visiting Nurses.

Bowen is survived by a daughter, Georgia Bowen Brown, and her partner Thomas Sessa of Woodbury; a son, Edmond B. "Rip" Bowen of Terryville; a daughter-in-law Elena Bowen of Woodbury and 2 granddaughters, Sydney and Jordan.
She was pre-deceased by two sons, Robert C. Bowen and Jonathan B. Bowen; a brother, William B. Dunn and a sister, Jane Harris.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ, 283 Main St. North, Southbury, 06488.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the United Church of Christ, 283 Main St. North, Southbury. Burial in New North Cemetery is private.
Visitation: There are no calling hours.
