Obituary: Patrick F. Sugrue, Jr., 77, Formerly of Waterbury
Patrick Sugrue, Jr. was a truck driver who enjoyed watching car races and old western movies.

Patrick F. Sugrue, Jr., 77, of Woodbury and formerly of Waterbury, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Paradigm Health Care Center in Torrington. He was the husband of the late Mary (Kersten) Sugrue.
Sugrue was born August 29, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Patrick F. and Etta (Smith) Sugrue. He resided in Waterbury for 10 years, previously living in Woodbury.
Sugrue was a truck driver for many years, having been employed by Cocchiola Paving. He loved hunting and enjoyed watching car races, watching old western movies and he was always available to lend others a hand. He was also a peacetime veteran of the United States Army.
Sugrue leaves two sons, Patrick Michael Sugrue and his wife Lisa of Watertown; and John Sugrue and his wife Debbie of Naugatuck; two daughters, Laura Winot of Tucson, Ariz. and Shelly Kaschak and her husband John of Oakville; a sister Kay (Katherine) McCormack of Watertown; five grandchildren: Sharon Isakson, Katie Cahoon, Steven Sugrue and his wife Heather, Mary Sugrue and Max Winot; two great grandchildren, Makayla Dybvig and Ellie Cahoon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Diane Cattaneo and Charlotte Holt.
