Obituary: Raymond D. Cooper, 52, of Woodbury

A natural athlete, Raymond Cooper excelled at baseball and was an avid outdoorsman.

 

Raymond D. Cooper, 52, of Woodbury, died March 14, 2012, at his home. 

Cooper was born on February 5, 1960, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of Rosemarie Kinsley of Southbury and the late Edward William Cooper, Sr.

A natural athlete, Cooper excelled at baseball and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, John Kinsley of Southbury; his siblings, Dr. Carol Lynne Cooper of Fairfield and Pound Ridge, N.Y., Robert Cooper of Las Vegas, Anthony Cooper of New Jersey, Anne Julia Kinsley of Woodbury and John Kinsley of Southbury; three nieces and five nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Edward William Cooper, Jr.

Visitation: There will be no calling hours.

Services:  A memorial mass will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury.

Burial: At the convenience of the family.
