Obituary: Raymond Lee Lasiter, Sr., 89
In Woodbury he was proud of his work making park benches, and when he was able he drove for he Woodbury Food Bank.

Raymond Lee Lasiter, Sr., 89, of Woodbury Road passed away peacefully Thursday January 25, 2018 at Watertown Convalarium. Mr. Lasiter was born May 28, 1928 in Paris, Arkansas son of the late Ira and Molly (Bowers) Lasiter, who both passed away on Memphis, TN. He was the widower of Mina Clair (Bennett) Lasiter of Southbury, CT.
He is survived by children, Raymond Lasiter Jr. of Florida, Berry Lasiter of TN, David Lasiter of Naugatuck, his brother Leroy Lasiter of Mississippi, his four grandchildren, Clipper, Berry, Neena and David Jr., 2 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his daughters, Rose Sherren, Crystal Fay Lasiter, and his brothers, Kenny, Burl, BobbyJoe.
Mr. Lasiter was a Quartermaster in Biloxi Mississippi for the Navy during the Korean War. He had retired from GM after 30 years. He enjoyed attending services at the Lighthouse Baptist church in Waterbury where he was a founding member of the Young Hearts Club. In Woodbury he was proud of his work making park benches, and when he was able he drove for he Woodbury Food Bank, making pick up and deliveries for those who could not leave their homes. Raymond was a very loving person, who will be missed by his children and grandchildren. Everyone who he came in contact with he tried to leave with a smile. Raymond, you will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held d at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 668 Lakewood Road in Waterbury. Burial will be held at the White Oak Cemetery in Southbury Friday February 2, at 10 am. To send an online condolence visit www.munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.
