Obituary: Susan Faith Patrick, 69, of Woodbury

Woodbury – Susan Faith Patrick, 69, died Friday, May 18th in Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of William Dykty.

Susan was born June 28, 1948 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Richard C. and Mabel E. (Sears) Cooper. She was a life-long resident of Woodbury and retired as a food service supervisor from the Southbury Training School after 30 years.

She enjoyed traveling, hiking and kayaking. She was passionate about her flower gardens, and loved to read. She also loved her family, acting as the “centerpiece”, and enjoyed entertaining them and friends. She was well known for her baked cookies and canned specialties, always giving away her labors of love. She will be missed by all those she loved.

Besides her husband, who was her companion for 45 years, she leaves two brothers, Curtis Cooper and his wife, Diane, and Douglas Cooper and his wife, Suzanne, and several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by her son, Brian Patrick and her brother, Steve Cooper.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in North Congregational Church, 11 Main Street North, Woodbury. No calling hours and burial will be private. Arrangements by
