Susan Jane Litke, 94, the widow of Clarence F. Litke, died peacefully on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by loving family.

Jane was born on May 22, 1922 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late John and Sophia (Samoska) Mikelskas and had lived in Middlebury for most of her life.

Jane is survived by her son, David Litke and his wife Sheila; her daughter, Claudia Downey and her husband John, her daughter, Alison E. Litke and her husband Larry Fischer; her grandchildren, Deirdre Fruh and her husband Ryan, John Downey, Jr. and his husband Bradford Hise, Erika Litke, Shannon Litke and Calum Litke; her great grandchildren, Matthew, Seraphina, Ellianna, Theodore and Thaddeus and several nieces and nephews. Jane was predeceased by her 6 siblings.

Funeral Services were held on Friday, April 28, at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home in Naugatuck. Burial followed in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
