Obituary: Vincent J. Coviello, 84, Formerly of Middlebury
He lived in Middlebury for 46 years, and moved to Heritage Village in 2010. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

SOUTHBURY - Vincent J. Coviello, 84, passed away in the early morning of August 10th at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Gloria (Esposito) Coviello, and proud father of daughter, Sharon Naplacic and son, David Coviello.
Mr. Coviello was born May 17, 1934 in Waterbury, son of the late Domenic and Julia (Nole) Coviello. He was a graduate of Webster School and Wilby High School, and attended Post College. He then served in the United States Army for 2 years stationed in Germany. He was a star softball pitcher that earned him the name “Knuckles”, and an avid Yankee fan. He began his career with PPG Industries in sales, and rose to regional sales manager for the eastern U.S. After 37 successful years at PPG, Mr. Coviello retired in 1996. He lived in Middlebury for 46 years, and moved to Heritage Village in 2010. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.

Mr. Coviello is survived by his wife Gloria of 57 years, and his daughter, Sharon and her husband James, his son David and his partner Lucas. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Jimmy and Owen who brought him great joy and pride.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. S., in Southbury. There will be a period of visitation before mass in the church chapel from 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082. Arrangements are being handled by the Carpino Funeral Home.
