Pet Parade and Turn-of-the-Century Festival

Celebrate Independence Day with the Litchfield Historical Society's annual Pet Parade and Turn-of-the-Century Festival!

Community members, with or without pets, are invited to participate in the Pet Parade. The Litchfield History Museum and the Tapping Reeve House & Law School will also be open from 11 to 5pm wih free admission.

After the parade, enjoy ice cream, donated by Peaches N’ Cream, at Turn-of-the-Century Fest. Old fashioned lawn games will be hosted on the Green after the parade. Refreshments donated by Stop n’ Shop.

The event is free and open to the public. Pets of any kind are welcome, but all pets must be either ona leash or in a cage and, where applicable, must come with a rabies certificate.
