Plans For Middlebury Fresh Market Won't Proceed: Report
The project was approved two years ago.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — It appears plans for a Middlebury Fresh Market at 1000 Southford Road won't materialize after all, the Republican-American reports. The project, pitched by Barry and Patti Tarnowicz, former owners of the Southbury Food Center, had received approval two years ago.
Town officials including First Selectman Edward B. St. John expressed disappointment over the news, the Rep-Am reports. The store would have been 11,700-square-feet and it would have created about 50 jobs.
The market would have sold fresh meat and fresh produce.
