Police Make Arrest In Sandy Hill Road Burglary Case
The arrest took place at approximately 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19.

Police arrested Dylan Coons, 20, of 29 Geddes Terrace, Waterbury, at approximately 4 p.m. today - Monday, Dec. 19 - on the following charges: alleged burglary in the third degree, alleged larceny in the first degree and alleged criminal mischief in the first degree.
Coons was arrested by Middlebury police, with the assistance of Waterbury Police Detectives, according to Middlebury Police Lt. Richard A. Wildman.

The arrest stemmed from a lengthy investigation into a .
According to Lt. Wildman, Coons would not answer the door at his apartment and police were kicked down the door. Coons was seen a moment earlier entering the apartment. He is originally from New Milford.
The big break in this case came when Officer Anthony Kalvaitis of the saw a suspicious vehicle in the Regan Road area and was able to get the marker plate. Kalvaitis was already going to another police call at the time in the opposite direction of this vehicle, Lt. Wildman said.
Police made four seizures of stolen property: two from pawn shops, one from a gold exchange business and another from an apartment in Meriden.

Middlebury Police, Meriden Police and the Connecticut Intelligence Center Liaison executed a search warrant on Wednesday, Dec. 14, and recovered additional property.
Information gathered in Meriden was used to track down two other wanted persons who were apprehended at the Bantam IGA located on 202 in Litchfield, according to Lt. Wildman.
Those two wanted persons were Nicole Judson, 23, and John Falk, 22, both of 100 Grove Street, Apt. 5, in Meriden.
Both were wanted by the for alleged burglary and larceny charges stemming from a October burglary in Woodbury. Judson and Falk were turned over to the Connecticut State Police Troop L in Litchfield.
Coons will be arraigned in Superior Court on Tuesday, Dec. 20, if he is unable to post the $15,000 court set bond. Middlebury Police expect more arrests in this case.
Coons is currently out on bonds from other burglary and larceny cases in Connecticut, one of which was an alleged burglary and larceny case from Woodbridge where someone was home at the time and hid from the intruders. Coons was apprehended in Florida.
Officer Kalvaitis and Officer Ron Pruchnicki were the lead investigators on this investigation.
