Police: Man Threatened Elderly Relative With Knife
Middlebury police say the Carriage Drive resident is being held on $250,000 bond.

A 45-year-old Middlebury man is being held on a $250,000 bond today after he was arrested last night on allegations that he threatened his elderly relative with a knife.
According to police, officers responded to a Carriage Drive residence just after 8 p.m. on May 3 on report of a family argument in progress. Prior to police arrival, the man arrested, identified as Christopher L. Greco, had reportedly threatened the victim with a knife. The elderly victim was able to flee the residence uninjured, police said.
Greco was located on the second floor of the residence and was subdued by officers, according to the report, provided by Action Police Chief Richard Wildman.

He no longer had the knife in his possession, police said, but it was recovered and taken into custody as evidence.
Greco was arrested on the following charges:

- Criminal attempt of second-degree assault of an elderly person
- Criminal violation of a protective order
- Threatening second degree
- Disorderly conduct
- Interfering with a police officer
- Failure to submit to fingerprinting
Officer Cronin was the arresting officer. He was assisted by Officers Adams, Demers, and Pelliter. No officers were injured during the arrest, according to the report.
Greco is being held at the Middlebury Police Department on $250,000 bond and will be arraigned in Waterbury Superior Court on May 6.
