Pomperaug Region 15 School Officials to Review Student Parking Fees: Report

Some parents raised concerns over the fees at a school board meeting that was held earlier this week.

SOUTHBURY, CT — Pomperaug High School students must pay $250 annually to park at their school, and some parents attended a Board of Education meeting this week and expressed their concerns over the costs, the Republican-American reports.

A parent said the fee is not reasonable. Historically, the fee was $125 in 2008 when it increased to $200 and then it rose to $250 in 2012-13.

School officials said 98 percent of the available spots have been purchased and it breaks down to $1.38 a day.
