Pomperaug School District Ranked Among the Best in Connecticut

Pomperaug Regional School District serving Southbury and Middlebury was ranked the eighth best New Haven Metro Area school system and the 39th best school system in the state of Connecticut by 2015 Niche Rankings.

Pomperaug received glowing marks for its academics by scoring an A, it earned a B- for health and safety, teachers received an A, resources and facilities scored a B, extracurricular and sports both received A’s.

According to state standards, 94% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading. The district has an annual budget of $67,695,000, spending an average of $15,284 per student.
