Portrait winner announced!

Congratulations to Lou Page, the winner of a Graphite Pet Portrait by ShawnaLee W. Kwashnak, in support of BARC CT!

Portraits by ShawnaLee donated the Gift Certificate to be auctioned off at an event to help raise funds for BARC CT. ShawnaLee, a Middlebury CT Portrait Artist, specializes in Portraiture of Pets and People and has been a supporter of Animal Rescues since the 1990's. She is a DAWS & Whiskers Partner and has supported numerous rescues such as ROAR, BARC CT, CT Draft Horse Rescue, etc.. ShawnaLee works in Graphite, Charcoal, Oils and Watercolors.

BARC-CT is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal advocacy + rescue organization that exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome unwanted dogs from within our community and throughout Connecticut. BARC-CT focuses on rescuing animals and providing them with medical care and access to trainers and behaviorists in order to help them make a full recovery regardless of what they have endured.

Lou is thrilled to have won the portrait and decided to have a very special PitBull's Portrait created as a gift!

"The dog's name is Peter - he is a rescue. He lived his first couple of years on the streets. Now he is in a very loving home. My sister went into the shelter and asked for what ever dog has been there the longest ? They both hit lotto that day !!" Lou Page.
