Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Academy hosts a Night of Caring every year to benefit their mission: to provide unique, life-changing therapeutic services to those in need, regardless of financial means.

The Seventh annual Night of Caring, to benefit Hidden Acres Therapeutic Riding Center, took place Saturday, September 15th 2018 at their barn located at 45 Gabriel Drive in Naugatuck CT. A wonderful evening filled with live and silent auctions, wine and beer tastings, games, Portrait demonstration oil painting of "Susie" by ShawnaLee (won by Rebecca Caruso), live music and great food all in support of a wonderful cause.

ShawnaLee Kwashnak has been drawing and painting animals her whole life and specializes in Pet and Child Portraiture in Charcoals, Graphite and Oils. She is a board member to the Connecticut Society of Portrait Artists and a member to several local arts groups. She teaches art lessons throughout the year privately as well as through various venues. ShawnaLee looks forward to helping you preserve and celebrate your pet's memory with a Pet Portrait today!

Founded in 2008, Hidden Acres is dedicated to providing equine-assisted activities for mind, body and spirit wellness for children and adults with physical, developmental and emotional needs. Funds raised from the event will help defray the costs of providing services and care of therapy horses. Year-round services at the farm include therapeutic riding and a variety of equine experiential learning programs for relational and life-skills development.
