Portraits by ShawnaLee offers quality portraiture rendered by hand in the timeless way!

Each work of art is created entirely by hand with the visual use of your photographs or combined with live sketch sessions with the subject. ShawnaLee works in Graphite, Charcoals and Oils.

Gift Certificates are available with deposit. There are limited number of slots available until December 6th, 2014 for Portraits rendered in Graphite or Charcoal.

ShawnaLee started creating portraits in hopes of capturing the special expressive moments that often elude photography.

ShawnaLee helps support animal shelters such as the Danbury Animal Welfare Society and CT Draft Horse Rescue etc.. More than $135 has been donated this fall to DAWS for a fundraiser at the DAWS Walk. Hundreds of dollars has been donated to animal shelters through the years from her portraiture.

ShawnaLee works from photographs and prefers to use as many photo references as possible, as each picture will have information that aids the portrait. Great photographs show clear eye & fur detail.

Although not always feasible, It is a special delight to be able to meet the subject, and the best portraits combine live sittings with photographic references.

ShawnaLee is currently creating a portrait of a child through a historic portraiture event: Childhood Portraits: Our Children, Our Future will feature a maximum of twenty new, original portraits of children
created exclusively by CSOPA members.

ShawnaLee teaches art lessons to dedicated young artists. The next session begins January 7th 2015.
