Power Outages Continue in Woodbury and Middlebury

A third of residents in Middlebury and more than half of Woodbury residents still in the dark.

Power outages still abound in Middlebury and Woodbury.

Electricity has steadily been restored since a storm high of more than 80 percent of residents without it.

At present, Middlebury has 1,068 (31 percent) CL&P customers without power. Woodbury, meanwhile, stands 3,410 (66 percent) without power.

CL&P is busy restoring power to the more than 400,000 Connecticut residents still without it. The need is so great that the company .

Woodbury First Selectman Gerald Stomski said that on 25 Quassuk Road, which has limited showers, potable water, cell phone charging stations and space for emergency sheltering.
