This talented cast of 22 students will have you dancing in your seats and humming along. The Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score features such hits as “Let’s Hear it for the Boy”, “Almost Paradise”, “Holding Out for a Hero” and the hit title song by Kenny Loggins, “Footloose.”

It tells the story of the lively city boy, Ren (played by Joshua Cocuzzo), who moves to a small town called Bomont, where a tragedy has caused a ban on dancing. Ren quickly finds himself at odds with the community lead by the Reverend Shaw Moore (Michael Kasdilhan). The Reverend Moore convinced the town council to place a ban on dancing following an accident five years earlier that shook the town.

The Reverends’ daughter Ariel (played Malia Piscatelli) is not one to be controlled by her daddy. Ren and Ariel find they have a lot in common. Ren takes on the town and plans a dance at the school. What happens next is a timely, relevant, heartfelt story of loss and understanding.

FOOTLOOSE is directed and choreographed by Shannon-Courtney Denihan with Music Direction by Todd Gorski. The stage adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, is based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, music and lyrics by Tom Snow and Dean Pitchford.
