Progressive Grocer Names Stop & Shop Front End Specialist to Top Women in Grocery
Middlebury Resident Carla Santos Among Honorees

Progressive Grocer, a leading retail food industry trade publication, has named Stop & Shop’s Carla Santos to its 2017 Top Women in Grocery, which honors outstanding female leaders in the retailer and supplier community sectors.
Santos, a Front End Specialist from Middlebury, CT, started with the company in 1993 as a part-time associate and worked her way through the ranks holding various positions such as Assistant Store Manager, Product Specialist and Store Manager. Her current position has her covering 17 stores in Southern Connecticut.
“We’re proud to recognize these dedicated associates who have excelled throughout their tenure with the company and continue to be examples to their colleagues,” said Robert Spinella, Vice President of Human Resources, Stop & Shop New York Metro.
